Coin lifecycle
From the first brick to a graduated, permanently locked Meteora DAMM v2 pool.
Every BRICK coin follows the same path: launch on a Meteora Dynamic Bonding Curve, trade on the curve, graduate when the curve fills, then trade in a Meteora DAMM v2 pool whose liquidity can never be withdrawn.
1. Lay the first brick
The creator enters a name, ticker, image, optional links and picks a fee plan and a creator pay mode. The BRICK server builds a per coin DBC config and pool in one createConfigAndPool transaction, simulates it, and returns it for the creator's wallet to sign. One signature launches the coin. Adding a first buy adds a second transaction, so two signatures.
- Total supply is 1,000,000,000 tokens with 6 decimals.
- Mint authority and metadata update authority are immutable (DBC
TokenAuthorityOptionImmutable) and the mint has no freeze authority. Nobody can mint more, freeze a holder or change the metadata. - Token metadata is published before the transaction is built (pinned to IPFS through Pinata, or served from the public BRICK site). The metadata URI is permanent.
2. Market cap targets, set in SOL at launch
Meteora curves are priced in SOL. At launch the server reads the live SOL price and converts the dollar targets once:
initial_mcap_sol = 10,000 / sol_usd_at_launch migration_mcap_sol = 45,000 / sol_usd_at_launch
Because the thresholds are fixed in SOL, the dollar figures drift with SOL. If SOL rises after launch, the coin graduates above $45,000; if SOL falls, below it. The coin page shows the SOL threshold and the SOL price used at launch.
3. How market cap is computed
price_sol = price from the pool sqrt price (curve or DAMM v2) mcap_sol = price_sol x 1,000,000,000 mcap_usd = mcap_sol x live sol_usd
- Supply is the full 1B total supply. Because mint authority is revoked the supply cannot grow, so this equals fully diluted value. Tokens still sitting in the curve or pool are included.
- SOL/USD comes from the Jupiter price API v3, with CoinGecko as fallback, read live for display.
- Figures are display numbers rounded for the screen. Payouts never use them; they use integer lamports.
4. Topping out
Graduation happens when the curve's SOL reserve reaches the migration quote threshold stored in the config. Meteora's migration keepers then move the liquidity into a new Meteora DAMM v2 pool, usually shortly after; the exact timing depends on those keepers. Market cap at that moment is close to the migration target in SOL, but it is a consequence of the reserve threshold, not a separate guarantee.
5. Mortar: liquidity locked forever
The config sets 100% of migrated liquidity as permanently locked (DAMM v2 permanent lock): 75% in a BRICK partner position and 25% in a creator position for Direct pay coins, or 100% partner for Courses escrow coins. Nothing is left unlocked. A permanently locked position has no withdrawal path in the program: no authority, key or upgrade of BRICK can pull it.
Anyone can verify this by reading the position accounts of the pool and checking permanent_locked_liquidity. The coin page shows this proof, read from chain. Locked positions still earn their share of trading fees, which the position owner can claim.
6. The graduated pool
The DAMM v2 pool runs in Compounding fee mode with compoundingFeeBps 5000. On every swap the program adds 50% of the fee left after Meteora's protocol share straight into reserves. The other 50% stays claimable by the locked positions. See The wall.
